Tomato-Orange Sauce
1/2 cup orange marmalade spreadable fruit
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) whole tomatoes, drained
1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh basil leaves or 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves
1. Heat all ingredients except basil to boiling in 1-quart saucepan; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered about 25 minutes or until sauce thickens slightly. Stir in basil. Simmer 5 minutes. Serve warm.

Chop them up and add them to your cholent, or to your soup, whatever soup you're making, they're great in chicken soup.
You could probably chop them and then freeze them until you're ready to make your soup, and put them in frozen. But if they're rotting and starting to stink, throw them out.

I actually just saw a show where someone made a "make a wish" to go somewhere with her father to have a tomatoe fight cause it was what he always wanted - they had a blast.
As for tomatoe sauce
puree in food processor with onions and fresh garlic then sautee' in pan with olive oil some salt and black pepper and garlic powder.
Put over pasta
or if interested add diced up white chicken and let cook in with sauce - also delicious.

I froze a great ratatouie recipe. It had eggplants and zuchinni, carrots, oninons mushrooms, everything sauteed with olive oil, and tomatoe sauce, spices.
It was perfect when defrosted.
