We're the kind of family with many opinions . . about everhything - you should see the lineup of toothpaste, etc!

Every week I buy plain OJ for DS and DH, calcium enriched for DD and myself. When DS was away, I would get pulp for DH.

I find that the Calcium OJ has a different distinct taste. Anyone think so?

Sure. the calcium itself has a taste. that's why I get a orange pineapple or orange tangerine, if I can . . .

Ditto to no pulp, calcium enriched.

I don't taste a difference to non-calcium enriched.

I'm not a big fan of plain orange juice, like CM, I always get orange tangerine or orange pineapple.

We only buy OJ with pulp by mistake, but it gets used. We prefer OJ without pulp, or OJ tangerine, or OJ pineapple.
OJ with calcium tastes funny but I drank it when I was pregnant.

I see I'm unique! I prefer with pulp!

BTW - I do taste a diff with calcium enriched.

I miss American OJ too. They sell Tropicana here but it's sooo expensive and recently they started selling New Square in the Kosher stores.

I actually started liking the new Tropicana Low Acid OJ. It's less tart, and sometimes if I drink regular OJ on an empty stomach, I get heartburn, so I started drinking this,a nd it's really good. But for the rest of the family I buy Calcium enriched, no pulp.

YESSSSSSSS!

I just bought it.

Looks like since 2007 Tropicana hasnt done anything about improving the taste of the Calcium enriched OJ.

Only fresh-squeezed for my family!

JK. When available, with calcium and vitamin D, why not, esp since dh doesn't drink much milk. If the store is out of it, I buy regular. I don't mind with pulp but usually get without because the pulp tends to leave hard-to-remove flecks on the glasses. But if with pulp is all they have, with pulp it will be.

It's good to be flexible, you know?

That makes two of us. What I taste a difference with is the age of the juice. When it's getting a bit mature it develops a yeasty character and the color starts to go a bit beige rather than bright yellowish orange. Safe to drink and drinkable, but not quite as tasty.

I prefer juicing the oranges myself. Then the pulp is juicy and delicious. Usually the pulp in those cartons feels kinda dry.
I felt bad waifor the first non shmitta orange crop. Meanwhile, we are having fresh lemonade. I save the pulp for DH, DD, and myself.

When one has guests, it is imperative that they have original, pulp, and with Calcium all available. It would be inappropriate to expect your guests to start their day without proper OJ.
