I always sewed matching costumes for my kids.
I borrow the costumes every year to whoever cares to come visit my bsmt. to see them.
I have to start liquidating my stock because it is taking up too much storage space. (who else has 5 eggboxes of costumes and accessories?  )
I have 3 king costumes. Blue velvet knickers , capes and crowns that I want to sell. My kids wore it 2 times, and no one has used it since.

if you're interested in donating them, I have a cousin who has a purim gemach-started cuz she sews all costumes and people are always borrowing them anyway. I send all my costumes to her.

There is such thing as a purim gemach?!?! Yeesh
My kids never have costumes, because I have no time to make them and the stores are so expensive... does that work if ur from out of town?

You mean that you lend the costumes every year- not borrow.
(lend is to give, borrow is to take.)

mitzvah mom, if you are interested, I'll give you my cousins # or email address. she lives in flatbush, but you never know..........
as for making or buying costumes, some years we just pull stuff together.
1/2 boy 1/2 girl, waiters, cleaning lady, etc.
