I was just going to ask the same question...dh wants us to be pirates. I'm not up for that. mil suggested cavemen b/c she has a whole set of that from when her kids were young...don't like that either. any other creative ideas?

One year, hubby and I were gardeners/farmers. We dressed up in denim and flannel shirts. I bought a green hat that tied under the chin and bought red felt and sewed 'tulip petals' to the top of the hat and had my daughter ina green sleeper or stretchie. For her sister, I found a green hooded sweatjacket and I bought white felt and sewed 'daisy petals' around the opening of the hood and she was in a green skirt or pants... they were 1 and 2 at the time. We gave out Mishloach Manot in baskets... a fresh salad, dressing, croutons...

we did a chicken, cow and baby lamb.
I was 8 mo preg that year and when I asked hubby if he wanted to be the cow or the chicken he stopped said um... I don't think there is a right answer to that! I ended up being the cow... and he the chicken- he shechts chicken so it was funny

last year we were cowboys/girls.
sooooo easy.
borrow or buy cheap cowboy hats, and wear plaid shirts, jeans / denim skirt & vest. u cud always buy small accessories, like sheriff badge etc.
I cant sew so this was a good idea for us. I pinned fringes 2 DS' jeans and got my sis to make a vest from velvet for him. He looked KAH adorable...
Now I gotta think of something cute 4 this year.

One year we did a Japenese theme - I was a geisha, I just got an outfit in chinatown and my DH was a ninja (im not sure how to spell that)
