I went to my boss because cost of living is going up and my wage has not increased since I started working.

Their response was... From now on, if u come to work every week with out fail...hours etc.. We will give u a roll of quarters as a raise.

HOW IS THAT A RAISE?!?!?!

Did you offer to work more hours or take on more responsiblity?

I have had several jobs like that. If you need more money, you have to look elsewhere, that's all.

I have a similar problem, after ds was born, I switched from full time to part time. since I get paid by the hour, my check was cut in half and it wasnt too much to begin with. BUT I accomplish the same amount of work in half the time, so basically by my being efficient, I lose!Sad and my boss just doesnt get it!

looking for another job Confused

Your boss is basically mocking you by giving you a roll of quarters. Doesn't anybody else realize it?
What a wacko!

I hope you are joking OP. You are not really going to accept a roll of quarters from him, are you? That is so demeaning.

It's not a matter of it only being a $10 raise, it's the fact that he is paying you in quarters! It's really not nice of him. Let him give you a $10 bill and be respectful of you!

It's a shul...this is probably just his way of not having to deposit the quarters from donations (let's face it I get paid with people's donations regularly)

I get Metrocards as part of one of my benefits; yes it's small but I'm happy to get them!

We used to have lunch on Wed, again small but appreciated.
