My husband is going to the States for work. What should I ask him to bring back that is hard to get here? Any sales now? I would love to order clothing on line for the kids and myself (teens and older). Would love to hear what you would recommend. Thanks.

don't waste your space/weight on aluminum foil, they have good brands here that are decently priced. definitely clothing, shoes, underwear, socks, games and books for kids, batteries (if you have the weight), deoderant

When I have someone coming soon, I read dealnews.com regularly and shop the sales to get things we need/want.

Do you have an address that you can mail items to? Much easier for you to pick out items online that for your husband to shop.

I second sneakers. Also, winter coats if the kids need.

Macys.com
Nordstrom.com (having a big sale right now)
Loft.com (having a big sale now)
Overstock.com
Amazon.com
Loehmanns.com (I saw some great long skirts there for $35)

You are all forgetting that there is a one suitcase allowance! Don't waste space on food that can be bought here for practically the same price. And if it's on sale, you'll spend the savings on paying for the second suitcase. Get on sale items, like clothing, shoes, makeup, baby stuff etc. For teenage girls try Forever21

A second suitcase is $70, no big deal.
