Google my privacy away?

looking up some stuff to see if I can dig up something to help Ozmom regarding virus infestation of her computer, I googled her username: Ozmom.

Among others, I got 2 links directly to Imamother on the 1st page.

Same for some other usernames I tried.

This gives me kreeps - anybody could be reading this!

how safe is really google I started looking up supermom and I got tired of looking after a while there must be about seventy pages. anyway I saw a couple of email address for supermom. some privacy we should write a complaint!! Twisted Evil

obviously whatever is public info on imamother is also searchable through google. that is why we keep the member list including your email addresses private, as well as the 5 hidden categories.

You don't realise, but we tell a lot about ourselves, 1 post at a time.

anyway, a bank and a forum are hardly the same. and obviously any information I share here I dont mind if any looney is reading, because I have that in mind when im typing my posts.

if the forum becomes private then other ladies who might like to join wont be able to find out about by doing a search....

Every bank site online is a secure site.
I couldn't find my name straight off because there were too many Rivkas and so I typed in Rivka Imamother and got something saying Rivka and none of my posts and then it said I have a profile, I clicked on it but couldn't get far coz I needed a Username and Password. SO it's the same with looking for imamother really. Once you are online in a forum anyone can find you. It's not like your address and phone number is stuck online for anyone to see.
That is why I don't have a blog.

hrmmm fy what were you trying to find on me?
you won't have much luck. this is the only place I'm signed up.
actually I did the same thing yesterday to see whether ppl can read my posts that way and I found another website for mums with someone else called ozmom.
