I am looking for a recipe for an apple crisp that has like a dough on top.
My SIL made it, and I want the recipe for this shabbos- but she is in Israel on vacation!! Anyone know what I am talking about? Its like baked apples on the bottom and a sweet dough covering the top. (Usually served in a pyrex dish)

It is not an apple pie-it is apple crisp and it is delicious.
It's usually served as a dessert in most Japanese restaurants (Fuji Hana,Sushi Mezuyan etc)
I find many recipes for it at foodnetwork.com
type Apple crisp by search and you will get many good ones.
I will look for the one I made.

Basya, you could make a dump cake.
Just put apple pie filling at the bottom of a pan, sprinkle a layer of yellow cake mix on top, put pats of margarine on that, and then bake it at 350 until it turns brown and bubbly.

The way I make it:
I cut up 6 Green apples into a pretty Pyrex.(you can use any apples)
I squueze some lemon jiuce so the apples dont turn Brown.
I use some lemon zest from the same lemon.
Then I sprinkle some sugar, cinnamon and if you want some nutmeg.
In a seperate bowl mix some oats,Brown sugar cinnamon and little margarine-mix it all and sprinklt over the apples.
I add some OJ to the pyrex .cover and bake on 350 for 1 hour.
Good luck.

For all those interested here it is:
Peel and slice 5-6 apples thinly
Toss the apples in a little bit of cinnamon and sugar.
Place apples in a pyrex dish
DOUGH:
Mix
1 stick margarine
1 cup of Flour
1 cup of Sugar
Spread dough on top of the apples (covering them)
Bake at 350
Good Luck!!!
