Title pretty much tells it all.

It seems that most people keep the first part, from Pesach till Lag Be'omer, I'm curious if I'm the only person around who keeps the second part. Anyone? It's really annoying because it's more days, and also because everyone else is listening to music after LB and I can't.

So before I was married I kept R"C till R"C (not a common minhag).
My husband's minhag is 1st half.
My husband's yeshiva minhag* is second half, so when we moved to that community, he decided we should keep second half as it's minhag hamakom (there really is a status of that here). When we move out, we'll go back to 1st half.

*As decided by the present R"Y several years ago; it was not this way always.

Right after I posted it, I realized I forgot to include the entire sefirah. I have heard that option but I never actually met anyone that keeps it. Well, kol hakovod to you.

I don't know if all Chassidim do this, but the ones I know keep the entire period from the first day of Sefirah until three days before Shavous.

My parents keep the whole thing, but my husband keeps the second half. So that's what I do now.

On the other hand, I sometimes feel like I don't keep anything because I work in video editing, and I'm allowed to listen to music for my job...

Another vote for the whole thing. Interesting, I also didn't realize that it was that common of a minhag.

When you say you don't keep it, does that include haircuts?

So where do these different minhagim come from then? If we're mourning for the passing of Rabbi Akiva's students, hoiw can we just pick and chose when we mourn?

Growing up, my family kep the second part. Our background is Yekke.

DH keeps first half so I guess I do too. In practice, it doesn't matter to me because I don't listen to music and cut my hair so infrequently. My kids are desperate for a haircute and will get one on lag b'omer.

dh's family keeps the first in general.

like HY the yeshiva community we live in keeps second half so we do that for now.

for my wedding our families kept second half because I got married a few days after pesach and there the psak that it can be changed for a good reason.
