The watchband doesn't sweat. You do.

Silicone won't absorb sweat the way a leather or cloth band would.

I've had Swatch watches with silicone bands and I haven't found my wrists to get particularly sweaty, although I use them for sport so I am sweaty all over anyway.

Your watchband covers a very small area of your skin. I don't see this as being a major problem.

lol dr mom. I left out words from my title. I am pretty particular w these things (maybe it has to do with my being very sensory?) and if only a small portion of my hand sweats too much, I would stop wearing the watch. would be a waste of money

What sort of watch band have you been using until now?

I'm claustrophobic ... my answer would be yes to sweat ... don't bother

I even have a fairly new nylon band and it's driving me crazy - I'd stick with leather as it's most comfortable

I am not wearing watches lately since they all bothered me. but hate being without one, esp shabbis when I cant use my cell to look at the time. thought silicone would be comfy but then there is the sweat problem. oh well an issue with silly watches Rolling Eyes
I did see ceramic linked bands too. maybe those would be better re sweat
