What crowd is it for?
What's the academic level like?

I would say MMY attracts a right wing MO crowd, or maybe a just plain frum crowd. Academics are supposed to be very good there, and it usually has a very good group of girls. In my very modern co-ed high school, the 1 or 2 girls who went to MMY were looked at as 'super frum'.

My daughter went there. I would describe her as right wing MO, no pants, sleeves past the elbow, serious about her davening and learning. Learning is on a high level; gemara is an option. There is chevruta learning. The top students in her large all girl hs went there. Those more to the right and wanted a different type of learning went to Michlala, but some of the top girls applied to both.
