We have a fiberglass sukkah, and we have been using funtack (that blue sticky putty) to hang posters. The problem is that after a day or two or three, they start falling off.

Any ideas that will hold up the posters for the full 8 days? The walls are shiny, so they're not that amenable to tape - what other ideas are there? Thumbtacks are also out of the question, as the fiberglass isn't meant for pricks like that, and would probably start to splinter.

Thanks so much in advance Very Happy

Command strips by 3m. But they're pricey.

Thanks, Rutabaga and Barbara.

Velcro would work, if it would stick to the shiny wall - I'm not sure about that. Same with the command strips.

Barbara, have you tried them on a fiberglass wall?

I see 12 for $4 here, not too bad: http://www.staples.com/Command.....63844

Nope. We don't have a sukkah. But we tried every removable adhesive known to woman to hold our potholder hooks on ceramic tile, and its the only thing to work for more than a week.

I think the command strips are the only thing that works on fiberglass as far as I know
I've seen them in local stores for less than 4$ (you'll be using plenty )

Oh come on, do posters really deserve to be hung on the walls just because they disagree with you? LOL

we use double sided foam tape on our fiberglass sukkah and it works great. just make sure your fingers are not dirty or the tape won't stick.

I can't do anything pricey. I've looked back at previous posts. I'm wondering how many of you have tried the hot glue gun, and the double sided foam tape, and what's worked well. Thanx.

Lol I opened this thread for ideas and I started it years ago!!!

Command strips worked for the first days. By the middle of sukkos half the posters fell off. This year we’re hangig white sheets on the walls and using safety pins. I’ll let you know how it goes!

Try some gorilla tape....it's like super heavy duty duct tape. They sell it at walmart, home depot, lowes, and probably other hardware stores.

Thanks! We have tried that too. It worked for about 75% of the posters. The others fell off before the end of yom tov.

I'm going to string the posters with fishing line and hang them from the top down, but as close to the wall as possible.
My walls are stucco, sides of the house.

Maybe it's time to have some hangers professionally installed?

Hang from the beams. Hole punch corners of posters and run ribbon through it that is secured up on top. Hang garlands from beams with zip ties.
Invest in big canvas posters that are easy to hang for next year. Buy a roll of satin ribbon in a color that looks nice in your sukkah and use to hang the posters and kids' projects. Add garlands all round sukkah. And you're mostly set.

Command hooks

We've had the command hooks in place for years now.
