Trying to think of potential baby girl names that have to do w light. Really like Shalhevet but also want it to be a name that the kid will feel comfortable with. Israeli DL mom's out there, is this a name that is seen in your communities? Ideas please!

Yes, it's used in the DL community, at least here. Not common but not "weird."

Any other names that mean light or illuminate or something of the sort? I know of Ora, Orit, Orly, liora, yaheli, meira. Any other suggestions?

I know 2 male Neriyahs, 0 female Neriyahs.
I know 1 female Nuriya, and lots of Nurits.

More common for boys but I know 2 young women with the name.
I actually prefer it for girls.

Ortal - That's my daughter's name so don't say anything if you don't like it 
Her name is actually Ortal Zehava - "Golden Morning Dew?" - but we only call her Ortal
