Another kids classic that I loved as a child and bought for my kids... my favorite part was when all the monkeys were in the tree with his hats ... my son once walked around with a million yarmulkes cause his great grandfather had a million colorful ones from simchas ... it was just like the peddler in this book ...

I love that book! My mother used to read it to me and my sister's when we were going to bed and we would make her read it over and over again!! I should buy it for my baby...

My kids love this book too.
My 2.5 year old shakes his finger and says "You monkeys you give me back my caps!"
My 4 year old puts all the kippahs he can find on his head and walks around saying "Kippahs! Kippahs for sale! 50 cents a kippah!"

There's a sequel to this book. I can't remember what it's called but the peddler ends up joining the circus. It wasn't as good as the original but still entertaining.
