I think the countdown stopped so as to avoid some nervous breakdowns... (or maybe encourage them when ppl are still not done preparing but we're exchanging pesach greetings...)

im very glad the countdown stopped! Each and every time I saw the seconds moving I was starting to freak out that I wasn't done yet with preps!!!!
Thank you for taking it down! Now I don't have to feel so bad about spending my time here when I should really be doing something for pesach when I already lost the patience for it!!!

Yes, in lotsa homes Pesach has indeed arrived already; they have 'kashered' and they have cooked their Shabbos food in Pesach'dige pots.
A somewhat similar concept to different parts of the world having different weathers right as we speak.
Or, like the yidin in Mitzrayim, a yid drank from a cup of water and got water and a mitzri drinking from the same cup got blood...so yeah, it's Pesach in some homes and not in others...
Enjoy your grilled sandwich!
