I went to BYA elementary and Im 99% sure Mrs Blau taught it to us a couple of years before that event
Last minute they let 7th and 8th grade join. I just remember being awed by Mrs Judith Grunfeld, she was so regal, like the Queen of England.

I'm a very visual person so I can literally see the words in Mrs Blaus handwriting...there are a few little corrections
Grow - not glow (makes sense!)
YET the soul was unclad
In A lonely little store
To LIVE ON forevermore

We were given the words handwritten in a flyer at the grand yartzeit event. I saved it for years which is how I still remember the words 37(!) years later

And I took along a small tape recorder and recorded it, and would listen to the tape for years after.

I actually found the original copy of the words in English and Hebrew - in Morah Blau’s handwriting and it has her drawing of sora Sceneirer. I will try to upload!

Morah Blau (I think we used to call her Mrs Blau when BYA elementary first opened) taught it to us at an assembly - in English and Hebrew.

we learned it in the early sixties from our amazing third grade teacher Miss Esther Kayla cohen and it was exactly the way Strawberry Cola posted, except I am not sure about the grow/glow debate.

A Little Bird is Calling, according to an article I read in Binah Magazine, was composed by Mrs Malka Steinberg Saks together with, I believe, a niece or cousin of hers. It was in the late 1940s, colorwar at Camp Bais Yaakov, The teams were Tziyon and Yerushalayim and she wrote it for Team Yerushalayim.
