Isn't it exciting? I became a lefty!!!!!! well what happened was, thanks to the great weather we had yesterday, I slipped on the steps outside and I fractured my middle finger on my right hand. Now I have a splint, in pain, and have to keep my hand elevated so that it looks like im resting my chin in my hand. How exciting! any advice anyone on how to handle everything now? the splint is not supposed to get wet.

I would let everyone else do as much as they possibly can ... all they have to do is see the splint ... and it ain't so bad being a lefty too ... I sometimes use both hands ... hope it feels better soon though ...

they do make a waterproof cast cover if you are that worried about getting it wet. I bought one years ago when dd broke her wrist right before we went to sesame place. her hand never got wet-but the rest of her sure did!! I got it at a medicak supply place and it was around $20 then

Hey! It's not so bad to be a lefty; I've been a lefty all my life! President Reagan, one of the greatest American presidents was a lefty. As long as you're not a leftist, then you're okay.
You know what else? They say that left-handed people are the only ones in their right minds .

hey, downsyndrom - you wrote exactly what I had planned to write.
I'm also a lefty.
I used to have a coffee mug called "the original lefty mug".
There was a small hole about 3/4 of the way up, on the side that a righty would drink from. So when a righty held the cup, and took a drink, it all spilled on her.
Anyways, good luck!
