Freilich, I can really relate.

I just had another sweet baby girl,
and I find that I am also 50 lbs overweight.
This is scary since I am not tall and this is the heaviest I've been Sad

I joined weight watchers (trite, but it works!)
They have a new "no-calorie-counting" plan.
Its been working well (and I've tried them ALL!),
and I've lost about 8 lbs in a month.

Its a good plan for me b/c I can see eating this way "permanently"
[unlike other "diets - I mean are you really never going to eat carbs again?]

I think you can join online as well www.weightwatchers.com

Excercise is really a challenge for me.
I've been doing Leslie Sansone's (indoor) walking tapes

Its really easy, there is one that is 18 minutes long.
and the best part - you can walk holding a baby if you need to.

a good excercise video website is www.collagevideo.com.
you can actually preview the videos online, even if you don't buy them there.

Good luck!

30 lbs! Way to go. How long did that take? Next week I start going to the gym. (I wanted to start already but everyone is telling me to weight atleast a month post-partem) I hope I'll be able to get off my extra lbs.

Chanie, it is better to wait after you finish bleeding, because if you over strain yourself in any way the bleeding will last longer. I know from experience. Also my friend had the same problem. She finished bleeding really fast and then she overstrained herself and she was a nidda again. Just take your time. wait till you are 100% clean and go to the mikvah.

Even though I lost some I am still far far away from my original size Sad
But I have been trying to use my treadmill every other day hourly and drink lots of water. So it is happening, and the dress that I am having made well the dress maker had to resize just abit. Wish me Hatzlacha that I won't give up, and will be the size I once was... very soon!

I have to exercise early in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

- I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

- I have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.

- The advantage of exercising every day is that you die healthier.

- If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.

- Walking can add minutes to your life. This enables you at 85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $5000 per month.

- My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where on earth she is.

-- I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to go there.

- And last but not least: I don't exercise because it makes the ice jump right out of my glass.

Here's how far away she is Google it

Google has a great calculating feature. Type whatever you need to calculate followed by = and then click search.

hey supermom
I know its was a while ago since you wrote your problem....but I tell you anyways. I recently started curves which is really working out for me, They also have a diet plan which im seeing the best results thank god.
basically what it is: high protein low carb diet..............they gave me a book and in the book theres a list of fruits vegies protein the works it tell you the calories carbs its ausome. People don't realize how much carb is in fruits and vegies not all of them but for example: bananas has 18 grams of carbs , apples and oranges has 16 for just a help of each its a lot, we don't realize how careful we have to be
