I received important mail which I didn't delete and I can't retrieve it.I've tried search and oldmail is there anything else that I can do?
please help its urgent!!!

try sort by either: from, subject or recieved (date)
if you remember who its from then do sort by from and find it according to alphabet
or if you remeber what was in the subject line, do likewise
if you remember the date you got it then sort by date

if it's aol you may have saved incoming on computer or on aol, which aren't in your "inbox"

its aol and I didn't save it on any file and when I do a search (I know who the mail is from)it doesn't turn up at all
I'm desparate! does any one have any ideas??

In AOL you can retrieve if you deleted it in the last 24 hours

I never deleted it -it went to old mail and then dissapeared-please help!!!

On AOL messages in the OLD MAIL folder is held for 7 days and then removed. If you have important mail you must save it in saved mail, or somewhere else of your choosing. Otherwise it will be lost forever.

When you open up your AOL mailbox, go to "manage mail"
on the left side, click "saved on my PC" - "incoming/saved mail" -on my AOL, ALL my emails are saved there automatically, without clicking on it. Check there.
