Find out about their vacation voucher. I don't know how theirs works.
But I've seen vouchers from furniture sales or electric companies and they are so specific and rigid. You are limited to 10 hotels - they only tell you the city name - not the hotel name until after you book, have to book 2 months in advance, give money just in case you don't show up, etc. I am NOT saying this is how Kars for Kids works, but you should ask questions first.

So if you are donating your car for the voucher find out where you can go, how in advance you have to reserve, if there is a deposit etc.

How it works is like this:
You donate your car, within a week or two you would receive a 2 night. 3 day hotel stay voucher. (Its important to let K4k know once the car has been taken)
You then have 30 days to activate your voucher. Do it right away to avoid any issues and because k4k pays for each voucher and may issue you a new one upon your request if the voucher hasn't been activated within 30 days. The way you activate it is by filling out a simple activation form, which does ask for your credit card #and will bill you the activation fee of $50.00, which will be refunded to you after your hotel stay. The hotels require a deposit from the voucher company when booking a reservation for a donor. This ensures that the donor is committed and will show up on the requested time and date and not cause a loss to the hotel for that reservation. Also, while we may give donors a free hotel voucher - it does not mean a free hotel stay. It does not include the room taxes or any surcharges, which are hotel or destination upgrades. Personal and/or miscellaneous expenses are not included. This would be any hotel charges incurred by the donor directly with the hotel, such as telephone usage, resort fees, parking fees, etc. Therefore, the deposit is held until the donor within 45 days of completion of travel requests a refund and mails in his hotel receipt showing no balance due.
Important!!- You do not want a timeshare so do not check off the box asking if you'd like to hear about bonus travel offers.
Once the voucher company gets your form they will EMAIL you a welcome letter.
You have to book your vacation 30-90 days in advance to ensure availability @ the hotel and the voucher is valid for up to 1 year.
A popular vacation spot (especially for frum families) is the hotel in pocono mts hershey.
