Dark blue and orange colour scheme?

IY"H I am making a Bar Mitzvah in the summer and I am thinking of the colour scheme now. Do you ladies think dark blue and orange go? If you do would you use white or ivory tablecloths and have the table decorations in the blue and orange, or just keep everything blue and orange? I guess the most important question is would a Bar Mitzvah boy and his friends like this colour scheme? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

Sounds fun and colorful! My favorite color combo.... Ivory tablecloths would prolly look nice. Blue would look nice too. Is black too dark?

If you want it to look more sophisticated, go with gray and orange.

IMHO, orange is a very "sporty" color. Color of basketballs, multiple sports teams, etc.

If you're set on that combo, navy blue and peach (with soft grey, sage green or pale yellow accents) might be a slightly more subtle/sophisticated way to go.

Or a brighter blue with more of a coral orange with a light sandy color plus bright white or ivory could have a clean, nautical air.
