I'm confused? Didn't you purchase your own last? You don't know what you paid? Either way, you can try calling your town and speaking to the tax department. Which state and county are you located in?

I'm assuming it's the house that she wants to buy or bought and wants to know previous purchase price.

Op: Try Zillow or trulia or property shark or just plain google the address.

Yes in nyc you can find it on acris. First you need to put in your address and find out the block and lot, then you can search the boro block and lot to find any documents associated with your property. Deeds, mortgages, etc.

Zillow has it and makes it easy.

In Lakewood you can also find this information on the county clerk's website. but it is hard to navigate to the right location to find it.

ACRIS is really the most reliable (and has tons of fantastic data including sometimes how much the mortgage is/was for, and copies of the deeds). First you need to get the BBL - Borough Block & Lot number. Once you have that, you search the Property Records. It can become a little addictive especially if you are in the house hunting parsha.
