Someone once mentioned a recipe made w/ 2 containers tofutti cream cheese, one tofutti sour cream, eggs (separate and make snow) sugar, etc.
Does anyone have the actual recipe for this?

PAREVE CHEESECAKE
from a friend in Queens
2 eggs
2 Tofutti cream cheeses
1 Tofutti sour cream
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 tablespoons flour
handful of chocolate chips, optional OR you can top with pie filling
2 pie crusts

Mix and bake at 350 for an hour. Top with any pie filling. Freezes great!

PAREVE CHEESECAKE-from the Flatbush TV Times
2 tubs Tofutti cream cheese, plain
1 cup sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 graham cracker crust
1 can pie filling or chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, mix first five ingredients well (and
chips, if using). Pour into pie shell. Bake 35 - 40 minutes until
light brown. Allow to cool, add pie filling to top (if you didn't
use the chips) and refrigerate.

Thanks, red sea. It didn't occur to me to look in the Lubavitch cookbook. I've gotten some great recipes from it!
Chocolate moose, your first recipe sound really good. I think I'll try it. Thanks a lot!

just wanted to make people aware that on the toffuti cream cheese, they dont wait 24 hrs to kasher the machines, so if ure machmir on chalav yisrael - u should ask ur rav.

this is based on reliable info.

The mashgiach at Tofutti and the Kof K themselves told you that they "don't kasher properly" from cholov stam to Pareve? What's pshat, don't kasher properly? Is it made by a hot process?

back in Ye Olden Days, it was the Cuties that were made on machinery with a shayah. they still served them in schools, much to my dismay .. . . thankfully all that was rectified years back.

I didnt say they dont kasher properly. they rely on a heter and dont wait 24 hrs. if thats not up to ur standards then for you its not proper. I didnt personally do the asking but heard it from the person who did. I could be wrong but I think that if u call the mashgiach/hashgocha they have to tell u what process they use or dont use. so call them or email them yourself. they dont think its wrong bc they have the heter so they should be ok telling u.
