I am originally from Northern VA. There is nothing in Fredericksburg. He is about halfway between the northern VA chabads and the Richmond Chabad. He can call one and take at least an hour ride to eat by one of those chabad families.

Hope he brought some heat and eat meals or at least he can get some PB&J at a local supermarket.

Good luck.

Thanks, he did take some things along but I think he was hoping for a nice dinner eaten out. We have none of that here. I think he was looking for a treat, but no such luck. He is going to try and visit DC before he heads home maybe he can rustle one up there.

I don't even know if there's a kosher restaraunt in DC anymore. Perhaps at the JCC? If not, he'll have to try Silver Spring or Rockville MD -- call the DC Vaad HaKashrus to find out. (Capital K).

CM, I grew up in Springfield, VA - also lived in Fairfax, VA as a young single for a few years. I miss the beauty of Virginia, but I enjoy the religious Jewish life in Baltimore so I would never consider moving back.
