I should have gone to Labcorp because theyre participating providers on my plan. When I go to Labcorp a blood test costs me $20 out of pocket, my insurance picks up the rest,
I and a family member hadnt had blood tests in a while and forgot and went to Quest. Between the two invoices its almost $700 (in stead of $40).
I just called Quest and asked why they didnt tell me theyre not participating on my plan when they saw my insurance card???? They said its my responsibility to know which lab to go to. How do I handle these two invoices? WWYD? I dont want to ruin my credit.

If it was sent in from your Doctor;'s office, they can request a wrong lab adjustment.
If you yourself went to the wrong lab and cannot afford the bill you can request an indigent from to have them reduce the rate. You can also have the ordering Dr's office manager speak to their Quest rep to see if you can reduce the bill.
