Hi,
I'm looking into playgroup for my child, and am wondering what the going rate is. Specifically for a 3-year-old. Thanks!

I have found that the smaller groups (as in smaller number of kids) charge more. I don't have a child in playgroup this year, but last year I paid $275 for my 2.5 yr old son in a setting that had a max of 12 kids. They started out with 6 and got more as the year progressed. Once they had 8 children they had a part time assistant. The playgroup provided snack and warm lunch. Transportation was an additional charge for those interested.

I found a legal playgroup for $275 from 9-2, 2 teachers and 12 kids. I called other playgroups and from 9-3 was $315-$400. The teacher to child ratio wasnt the same. One place didnt have an assistant for 16 kids.
