When my baby cries and my dh or parents tell her she will soon see me, she stops crying. When someone tells her it is soon nursing time she stops too. But the craziest thing took place yesterday. My father was tell her about the socks thief (family joke), and she started crying. Then he told her "don't cry, it's not true", AND SHE STOPPED. shock shock shock

Coincidence, or...??

It never hurts to watch what you say around your kids, even if it's only for practice.

Don't be fooled by their pint size - they are little people ... for sure they understand ... especially gestures and motions and tones ... it is a comfort or no comfort feeling ... they absorb it all ... that is why it is the best time to teach them - a language, the music notes, gemara ... hey it certainly won't hurt Mr. Green

Hee hee- my first baby would start crying when I'd tell him I'm gonna bite off his fat belly and eat him up! So then I'd apologize to him and he'd calm down. Smile

Whenever I was on the phone while my newborn was in the room --whether by himself or in my arms -- if I started saying how he kept me up a lot at night, he would cry, but if I would say he's very yummy and really treating me well, he wouldn't!
