Anyone know if goats milk can be used instead of formula for a three month old that does not nurse?

Am gold, I was thinking of doing that to supplement, when I was at work. But I did research and if ur giving goats milk u still need to supplement with vitamins.
However I did get an excellent formula- organic, called babies only. The soy is non gmo -And super.

No, no, no. Extremely unsafe for young infants as a primary source of nutrition. It is missing some crucial components that are a part of breastmilk or fomula. As a nurse, I have seen goats milk babies who have been hospitalized due to severe anemia. Please do not do this to your child.

See if you can try Neocate - its a formula made for allergy babies that most tolerate well.

There are hypoallergenic formulas. Please talk to your pediatrician! This is a 3 MO not a 2 YO who is eating other foods.

Is your child a 3 month old goat? shock I mean, they're both called "kids", but IMHO the similarity should stop there.

Why don't you just nurse?

You are being mean. If that was an option, she wouldn't be asking this.

He will die if you give him just goat's milk at that age. He needs formula or breastmilk, pronto. What about pumping? Yes it's difficult but if he really won't nurse and can't tolerate formulas then it will be the difference between life and death. In Israel a while back babies were dying because one of the formula missed out some vitamins by mistake.

Are there really people out there that wouldn't nurse even if they're able to? Wow!

Yes. I chose not to nurse.

Alimentum or elecare are also made for babies who are super sensitive. Talk to the pediatrician, don't keep switching formulas, that's not good either.

Maybe just cuz I see the desperation in wanting to nurse so I didn't see the other side. Sorry judging. I take it back

Plain goat's milk is absolutely not acceptable as a substitute for breast milk at that age.

If you want, you can look into homemade formula alternatives:
