Add a half a teaspoon dark corn syrup in his milk bottle - works like magic!

No bananas, no applesauce, no rice, you could give him prunes in the baby jars or even apricots. Also when you see that he's trying to make, while he's laying down, help him by gently pushing his legs back towards his shoulders.

My dd was (and at 5, very often still is) ALWAYS constipated.
What worked:
8 oz of prune juice each day
maltsopex (sp?) - I think you could get this syrup in the pharmacy

It's summer! LOTS of peaches & plums! (You could puree them for him.) Should I send you some? My 16 mos. old won't stop eating them (like 5 a day, easy) and we're starting to have the opposite problem.....
Oh, just remembered - also pears (they say the 'P' fruits!). I give my babies peeled soft pears whole and they gobble them down.
