Ive noticed a few of us have mentioned small things they do with their children to keep them extra motivated and strong in Yiddishkeit.
I think it would be nice if we can share ideas. Heres what ive noticed so far:
1) someone mentioned "Mishnayos money"- anyone know what that is? anyone have any other ideas to motivate children to memorize mishnayos?
along the same lines- children can earn money memorizing lines of Tanya, Mishnayos, etc.
2) a teenager can keep a special notebook or diary in writing down questions in Yiddishket that come to him/her, and when s/he finds out the answers can fill them in.
I thought it was nice to expand this idea and even a younger child can keep a notebook/diary of mitzvos he did that day and one special one he plans to do tomorrow.
3) some kids have "Rebbeim albums" and keep their own album full of their very own pictures of different Rebbeim.
along the same lines there are Torah cards which I dont know if theyre still being printed, but I saw a new thing- 613 Mitzvah cards. has anyone seen them? recommend them?

having special erev Shabbos jobs to do
having special Shabbos and Rosh Chodesh and Yom Tov treats
asking them parsha questions or reviewing their sheets from school at the Shabbos table
letting them tell (long) stories that their rebi/mora told them (requires patience!) - I was once at someone's house on Yom Tov and their 1st grade son got the floor and told a story his rebi had told the class. Everybody present at the table was silent as he told the story which he told so well.

I had originally written something like, "not the junk they have all week (if they do)"
