looking for easy soup recipes for 9 days
please include Measurements

I have a yummy pea soup recipe... I dont really have exact measurements though  ill write the jist anyway...
fill a normal size pot half way with water and boil. when water is boiling, add 1 bag of green split peas, one packet of onion soup mix (I think its goodman's that sells boxes that come with 2 packets in each), add a handful of barley, and some salt (id say about 1 or 2 tbs.). lower the flame and let simmer for several hours, stirring occasionally so the bottom doesnt burn. use a hand mixer or blender and put it inside the pot to puree the peas and barley. if you want to make the soup thicker, you can add a little more barley or cook for a short while on a higher temperature. its really really easy and really delicious. me and dh had it with some french rolls/baguettes from the bakery, it was delicious!
