I am thinking about starting a professional scrapbooking seminar in the fall, for women and mature young ladies who are interested in learning the techniques and skills involved in scrapbooking and picture journaling.

As a professional scrapbooker for many years, I would love to teach all the women who have photo albums just piling up for years, how to bring their memories back to life with gorgeous personalized layouts. Think of all the money you spend on studio pictures at Simchas that are rarely looked at. Scrapbooking tells the story behind the pictures and keeps you 'reading' your photo album over and over again!

I was thinking about a ten class semester, 1.5-2hrs a class, once or twice a week depending on the demand. I am not sure yet how much I would charge but it wouldnt be unreasonable, enough to cover basic supplies, and teaching time.

My question is: Would this interest you? A special activity just for you? A productive and fun evening where u can express both your artistic talents and appreciation of your favorite memories?

Would you sign up?

Isn't this something that was in vogue years ago? I remember the supplies being costly; I can't imagine it'd "go" in a frum community.

I'm not into that kind of thing. I got a huge scrapbooking kit for a wedding present and haven't used it at all!

I'm not creative or artsy but would love to make a scrapbook of dd.

I would be interested but only if it was a reasonable price. Scrapbooking gets VERY expensive!

I subscribe to a club called club scrap, so it isnt very costly, and I get a LOT of paper and goodies to go with them. it even comes with instructions!

I would def be interested...I know a girl who used to do this, she was amazing at it. The supplies are costly but not in bulk and if the class supplies them and uses it from term to term it could be an investment...
High school girls would prob be into something like this.

Go for it!
