Thanks so much! But there definitely is a minyan in this neighborhood? It's so hard to find out where these "garage minyans" are lol. Thanks for the reply.

If it isn't in East Ramapo and the school you're sending your kids to doesn't have private transportation, I would suggest you double check on that, actually. I've heard of families in Ramapo Central and other districts that are having a very hard time with this.

Thank you! Anyway I guess the schools would be most likely to know if bussing were possible. I drive anyway so it's not such an issue though it would be an inconvenience.

Unless there are 2 Pearl Rivers, you're talking about a town next to
Nanuet, on the NJ border. I lived there about 20 years ago. There were barely any Jews, forget frum Jews. It's NOT in East Ramapo--it has its own district. The town was largely made up of people who worked for Pfizer, NYC police officers, and NYC firefighters. There might be a new neighborhood near Monsey with a similar name , but be very careful where you look.

I'm anonymous because I was THE only Jew in Pearl River with a kosher home.

Yes that's what I'm talking about. Monsey is expanding in all directions so I could believe that there are a handful of Jews there now. A neighborhood full of NYC police officers and fire fighters sounds like a GREAT place to live. As long as my dh has minyan on Shabbos.

The Dexter park neighborhood of chestnut ridge literally borders pearl river. Some streets there are back to back with pearl river. There are a few minyanim in Dexter park in ppls houses. I don't know more details but if u find someone who lives there you'll get the info u want.

Ok--good! Pearl River was a very nice calm place to live! There are great parks and good town services. However, be sure to check what town you're legally in. Services vary hugely because of different tax bases.

If it's the part near Dexter Park/ Chestnut Ridge , It's heimish, yeshivish and now becoming more Chasidish.

I know someone that lives on Gottlieb Drive . She said it is becoming more and more Chasidish. But I'm not so familiar with that area. She lives there for at least five yrs already and she is not Chasidish.
