My daughter wants to get a good Canon Camera powershot but they all have WiFi,what we don't want that she has.!!
Is there a way to have it taken away,or a Canon Camera with out it?

I'm curious what you're afraid she might do with a camera with WiFi that she couldn't do without.

I don't know for sure, but I didn't see anything in the description about wifi. Under specs it says "Wireless control: not available."

About removing wifi - maybe TAG organization can help you?

I don't know what you do with the WIFI - maybe transfer pictures\movies.

(I recently heard a tech speech and he said in one boy's camps a boy was renting SD cards with movies to watch on digital cameras. The dirtier the movie the more the cost.)

TAG can generally remove Wifi from cameras. Perhaps call them first with the model number for the camera you'd like to get and they'll be able to confirm if they can remove it successfully.

That can also be done with a cable. One comes with the camera but even if you take it away it's easy to get another one.

Also, having neither wifi or a cable still won't keep you from swapping memory cards.

I thought the wifi was there to make it easier to transfer pictures to the PC directly without a cord...
