There was a "haben yakir li" that people used to sing way back, particularly in Camp Sternberg, with beautiful harmonies. I know it was originally on a tape or CD. Anyone know who may have sung it? Thanks.
Anon again as I've been linking all three songs (the two from the other recent threads I posted) in my discussions with others who are on Imamother too.

You starting a choir or something?
can you clarify? there are a few haben yakir songs I can think of. Is it the Dveykus one? Very slow and heartful? Is it only the hebrew or is there english lyrics also?

OP here. Not a choir but I've started singing and playing music again after not putting on a cd in ages so I'm on a roll :-). Anyway it's not Dveykus--it was something more obscure. How to convey a tune with words? And when I don't really read notes?? If it helps, it's a version where the word "shaashuim" is repeated twice.

ok the dveykus song I'm thinking about has the word 'sha'ashuim' twice.
Does the high part go like this:
Aaaal kein hamu mai'ai lo...racheim arachamenu ne'um ne'um hash-m

OP here. Thanks everyone. The link to the Dveykus tune is indeed beautiful, thank you for posting! Actually, the one that Bigsis 144 posted is what I was thinking of! I remember hearing it on tape years back. Let's see if someone can track that down.
