I have heard that the blankets and comforters tend to be a bit dirty, because they don't change them every time. The towels and sheets, however, should be fine. Yes, other people use them, but they are commercially laundered, no doubt in super hot water with bleach and all that.

Blankets are the only thing we take along, as they do not was blankets frequently.

I was told that when "together" with DH, it's a more mehudar mitzvah to use your own sheets.

Are you kidding? The cost of some hotel rooms are so much they better wach those blankets often. I was just at a fancy expensive hotel and they had sheet covers over the blanket on each bed that were white.

What does this mean? | That when a husband and wife are intimate outside their home, they should use their own sheet (or towel) underneath so that the Ba'al Habayis won't notice anything. I don't know if this Halacha applies to hotel rooms though. There, no one knows who slept on which sheet, and nobody cares enough to pay attention.

So then using a towel accomplishes the same thing, without having the inconvenience of making the bed.
Also, is "mehudar" the right word to use here?

Towels & sheets I'm ok with. But if there are no blanket covers I ask for extra top sheets to cover the blankets so n/o will touch them.A lot of hotel now do blanket covers or top sheets on the blankets. I also bring Lysol spray for everything.
