Would you ask a Rav for all your kashrus, TH and other halachic shailos? To me that is a barometer of who should be accepted.

but she said seat not lid

why does one need to put down a toilet lid?
I've rarely gone to a toilet and found it with the lid down.

I always put down the lid ... have taught my dxh to put down the lid ... and my kids to put down the lid ... do you know why there is a lid ... to keep the smell and toxins downward ... not in the air ...

I read somewhere if you put down the lid then all the germs get trapped and then when you lift it ......whoosh..

but that was regarding putting down the lid while you flush.
