Anyone have this.
Your honest opinion please.

Can you boil soup before shabbos, put it in, and it be piping hot shabbos day?

Do you mean a regular warming plate or a special one for shabbos?

Several of my friends have these.

I don't know about soup, but they're all very happy with it. I'd get one myself if I had room.

I'm wondering if food comes out piping hot, or just Luke warm.

It's twice the price of a commercial warming oven or a caterers hotbox.

It's certified by the OU
http://www.shabboswarmer.com/w.....7.pdf
I think it is only 170 F
Is this enough to keep food hot?
It's also certified in Israel
My rav does not allow warming drawer, but does allow this, because it only goes less than 175.

Don't know what a commercial warmer or caterers hot box is
According to the one I saw in Amazon it goes up to 200 F.

I've eaten many times at the homes of my friends who have them, and the food was always plenty warm for me. But YMMV.
