Which way is more efficient for a house (as opposed to apartment)?
Having cleaning help 4 times a week for 3 hours each time, or two times a week for 6 hours each time?

Definitely the first option. BUT,
most ladies don't like going to multiple houses at a time. IOW, the cleaning lady will prefer the second option
people don't like being forced to stay home 4 times a week, 3 hours takes out a big chunk of their day
So while the first option will keep your house cleaner, the second option is what most people choose.

Cleaning help four times a week. Not even a question.

It really depends what you're looking for.
Twice a week for 6 hours, your cleaning help is going to get into deeper cleaning each time, because s/he'll have time for it. But you'll need to do more upkeep during the week.
Four times a week, for a shorter time, she'll be keeping up with things, and not getting to things like baseboards or other woodwork, or whatever other deeper tasks there are. But you won't need to do as much daily upkeep.
If you have a lot of little kids, I'd go with 4 times a week. Older kids, twice a week.

How about twice a week 3 hours and one day a week 6 hours so she gets to do more detailed cleaning. I've done a similar schedule and it worked very well.

Currently in my apartment she comes 2x week for 3 hrs but in the house, I want to double the amount of cleaning help I have.
Here's what she currently does:
Bathrooms 2x week
Laundry (folding) 2 x week
Make beds (once a week, putting linen on beds also)
Organize the main room (when we move I hope there will be less clutter!)
Clean floors
What other tasks should I ask her to do when she has more time?

Ooh that sounds like a great idea. What day of the week is best for 6 hrs, Friday or more towards the beginning/middle of the week?

It depends on your lifestyle. I appreciate deep cleaning at the beginning of the week so I have an easier transition into the workweek.

Polishing silver, washing windows, organizing pantries and closets, dusting, cleaning fridge.
I would definitely go with 4 times a week. Aside from regular clean up she can do a project every day.

I personally would prefer twice instead of four times. I like my privacy and feel a bit restricted when I have my cleaning lady (or any person for that matter ) in my house .
But for maintenance, four times makes more sense, while for deep cleaning , two times makes sense.

I'd prefer four times a week. Heck. I'd be happy with once a week

Another thing I like to do. I pick one room each week or two and I spend some time decluttering and organizing (closets, drawers, cabinets, etc.) And then the cleaning lady does a more thorough cleaning in that room. After a few weeks you've gone through the whole house and then start again. When I do this, I cut down on the clutter and Pesach cleaning is much easier.
