My son has a small second degree burn on his face that is being treated. Even when treatment ends, he will still need to keep out of the sun. Obviously that is not going to be entirely possible, and I would not want to deprive him of the little bit of outdoor time he does get, if I can help it.
I insist on helmets when bike-riding. Are there helmets out there with decent sun protection? A preliminary search turned up motorcycle helmets. Not exactly what I had in mind, though his eyes lit up at the thought of wearing such a "cool" helmet. I'm not sure he will tolerate that huge piece of plastic for long in the NYC summer heat.
What are my options?

I found one with a more boyish pattern, now that I had an idea what to look for. Thanks!!

Here's another option I found:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod.....B8GKX
I think I will go with this because it's cheaper, will arrive faster, and he doesn't really need the fabric behind his neck that the other model had.
