Does anyone have any recommendations for a child psychiatrist in or near Northern NJ?
I need help figuring out if my 10 year old DD's behavior (flying into rages and other disturbing behavior) is perhaps chemical. . .

We use Dr Eileen Zhivago in Hackensack and really like her. Her partners came well recommended also. They have an office in Glen Rock too. Her info can be found online.

Would you go to New City (Monsey area)? We've used Dr. Ronen Hizami.
You can also try asking your pediatrician for a recommendation, or call Relief.

Thanks for the recommendations.
If I could call relief anonymously I would but I don't think that's an option. I'm friendly with the person who deals with child psychiatrists and at this point am not willing to out myself and my child.
For the people who wrote names (Dr Zhivago and Hizami), where were they recommended to you from and has anyone else here had experience with them?

Dr. Z came highly recommended by the therapist my daughter was seeing at the time. I find her to be very thorough, responsive and concerned. She meets with us both separately at every appointment.

My child's pediatrician referred us to Dr. Hizami. I also have a close relative in the medical profession who recommended him as well.
