I thinks she's trying to use the pan in place of a measuring tape but she is not sure of the exact measurements.

Sorry I didnt explain myself. Her idea cracked me up. I think it's creative. It felt very close to home. I wouldn't have a clue what the measurements of bekelech are though.
When I dont have a tape measure I take a peice of rubber or plastic and measure a tile in my vanity so I know it's 12"... then I measure the object in 12" increments.

Just use a piece of paper, 8.5"x11" is standard, and close to a foot Wink

I don't see the humor. You want to use it as a resource for measuring something fine, but it came off sounding condescending and mocking.

Maybe she's your next door neighbor in Williamsburg? Have some fun!!
I didn't see her as mocking anything. Some People in this serious world have a lityle bit more colorful lives than using the half roaster bekele as a half roaster bekeleh. Big deal.

I love the idea, and have used it myself to measure! I'm always using things other than rulers to measure.

I'd be wary of any part of that pan actually being 13"; all of them that I've seen are noticeably smaller than that even when claimed to be 9" x 13". You're better off using a dollar bill which is 6".

Thanks cnc for explaining!
crust, I thought this thread was a joke of some sort because I didn't understand what the OP was trying to say. Smile
I agree with OOTBubby that the disposables are more definitely not exactly 9x13 in size.
Good luck OP!

Like a previous poster, I use a paper for all estimated measuring. Either the 8.5 or the 11 side. If I need a small measure then I half either of the sides. If a need a large measure, I double, triple or quadruple either of the sides to fit what I am measuring. Has proved very helpful in the past.

OP is joking (or maybe she's serious lol) about using a 9x13 to measure her skirt so it's Williamsburg up to standards.
