Cooking refridgerated chicken soup longer

I was only able to cook my chicken soup for a few hours tonight before I got ready for bed. I let it cool and put it in the fridge. Can I heat it up tomorrow and let it cook longer tomorrow? Will it change the flavor? I usually cook my soup very long because it gives it a great flavor.
