Do you know what district Rappaport is in? What neighborhoods are included? We are looking for a Torani neighborhood, like possibly nofei hashemesh..

Nofei hashemesh has an excellent school within close walking distance. It's also torani, although the population includes some more mesorati families. It's called Orot. Rapaport is a bus ride from there. However, many kids do commute from Nofei hashemesh to rapaport. Generally the city has considered rapaport to be open to all neighborhoods. To be completely honest, that could change. But it's unlikely to.

Orot is a boys school? I have only boys so looking for boys schools.
What would you say are the differences between Orot and Rappaport? Level of education about the same? Does Orot have a lot of English speaking and are used to dealing with olim?

Orot, like rapaport, has a boys' school and a girls' school. In the case of Orot, the buildings are on adjacent lots. But they are completely separate schools, with separate principals and separate teachers.
I would say that there are fewer olim at Orot. Enough English speakers to talk to, but not so many that learning Hebrew won't happen. Rapaport has majority English speakers in some classes. The school definitely gets olim. Rapaport gets more.
More of the English speakers at Orot have lived here since babyhood. I find the American kids at rapaport are still very American. They follow American sports, rather than israeli ones, etc. The culture at Orot is much more israeli, even among kids who speak English at home.
Religiously, as I mentioned, Orot has some families that aren't really torani. But there is a huge overlap.
Academically, I think they are similar.

Bnos Malka is like open yeshivish. More yeshivish than magen avot which has many dati people in. Bnos Malka is american yeshivish- knee socks, not tights, no tv, limited internet access, etc

I know this is an old thread but I didn't want to start a whole new one on the same topic.
How "yeshivish" is magen avot? Do all the fathers there wear black hats or is it more of a mix?

Definitely not to the black hats! My dh doesn't, and I'd say out of my son's class, maybe 5 would. Its yeshivish, but not THAT yeshivish, if you know what I mean...

We just moved to YM two weeks ago.
We have a meeting with them today; and I have a question about the dress code.
Are socks required? Short socks? Is there a uniform?
Can anyone tell me what Rappaport's equivalent in the tri-state area would be?
Also
Does anyone have information about Noam girl's school in Kiryat Moshe?
thank you!

Wrong thread. This thread is for schools in Beit Shemesh, not in YM.

Correct. There is a Rapaport school in Jerusalem and one in Beit Shemesh. They were originally connected, but they are really very different at this point.
