I'm new to Israel ... the appliances are just so different.

I need a food processor, so I'm asking which one does anyone have.

Pros? Cons?

TIA

Most people get the Braun.
I have the Bosch MUM5 mixer. While it doesn't have the S blade, I use the blender or shredding discs.

I am very happy with the Braun. I have another one for Pesach, don't remember the brand and find the Braun has the best shredder for potato kugel, but the slicer is too thin for "regular" slices. My pesach one has great slicer, and a juicer attachment but totally can't use it for kugel, so depends what you would want it for.

If you go to Zap you'll find over 200 food processors from nearly 40 companies for sale.
Out of them, there are 7 Braun models and 1 Electro Hanan model listed.
Electro Hanan is a budget brand whose products are not usually stellar.
Braun is a first rate brand but I would still read reviews of particular models that interest you.
Even good brands sometimes produce lemons.
I have a Kenwood. It's almost 20 years old and still running.
My sister has a Phillips that she is happy with.

I have a Magimix. It's big but it's a powerhouse. As mentioned above zap.co.il is the best place to read about, and get reviews of, different machines locally available.

Actually, lots of Israelis call a food processor a magimix.
I have a Braun and am very happy with that.

True, but when I said I have a Magimix, I did mean it's an actual Magimix brand food processor.

Buy it from zap. The shipping is not much and it's often drop shipping si it arrives within a week.

Is the magimix very heavy to lift on the counter every time you use It? Does the dicing blade really dice. It's definitely a top brand machine.

I'm not in Isreal but I have owned a few kenwoods, a magimix and a braun.

Kenwood - kept breaking down.
magimix - its lasted a while but it is pretty heavy. Generally happy with it but lots of pieces and takes up space. I don't use it for dicing. Basically kugel and dips.
braun is for pesach and has lasted quite a few years (my pesach mixers get lots of use) and is really well designed and strong and also not too heavy.

My braun stick blenders have lasted forever.

Hi Raisin. Thank for the info. I am considering Braun but I really would like a dicing and jullienne disc that Braun doesn't have. Maybe I'll look into the Kithen aid. Do u know anything about it?
