Here's my recipe:

1 ¼ c. flour
1 c. finely grated carrot (you can use the metal blade of the food processor)
¾ c. sugar
1 ½ tsp. baking powder
¾ c. oil (I have found that 1/2 c. is enough)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

1-1/2 hr @350. This is enough for a loaf pan. Double recipe for a tube pan. Enjoy!

I have never tried eating fleishig before the t"b fast. I serve regular shalosh seuda meal. Salads, challah, spreads. and milchige ice cream. We don't finnish the first seuda too late, so we can eat milchig.

careful as deli meat (for some) can make you thirsty.

You can also heat up dry food on a (empty) pot. there was a thread about it.

I was told that I was allowed to go to the dentist in the nine days. and gym it is the same as walking and going on a bicycle no?

thank goodness here in our community the girls here make a small "camp" for the kids from twelve till six for all ages I am looking foward to tisha bav so this way I can relax and sleep as much as I need.

one shouldn't do things during the 9 days that add simcha (happiness)............... going to the dentist- oh my, not exactly a fun activity for me!

that applies only to those things specified by Shulchan Aruch

otherwise it's a positive thing to look for ways to increase simcha such as making siyumim

I told my dh on motzei shabbos that we are definitely using paper this shabbos! we don't have a dishwasher, so my dishes would sit for days. he said well, we can wash them sunday night, and I said- I'm sure that I will NOT be in the mood to wash dishes at 10:30pm after Tisha B'av!

I didnt even think of that, Plus My first day of school is the monday right after Tisha B'Av, theres no way I want to be washing...But we cant wash dishes at all on Tisha B'Av? Because I usually do loads of baking towards the end of the fast to keep me going!
