What are the amounts? 1 or 2 parve whips?
I whip the whip when I make this and thus need only 1 small (212 ml.) container. Without whipping will I need two containers for one pie shell?
And about how many cookies?
I use 16 sandwhich cookies to one whipped container of whip.
If I use two containers do I need to use more cookies?
Not trying to be pedantic here - just wondering how not whipping is going to alter the amounts....
Thx!

I never tried whipping.

for this recipe I use two small containers and as much cookies as I can fit in.

I tried this before (with chocolate chips) and it came out very grainy. I heated the coconut milk and chocolate together. Do you have to first melt the chocolate and heat the coconut milk separately and then combine? Or does it have to be baking chocolate?

I never tried it with chocolate chips, but I've had trouble melting chocolate chips in other recipes. The the alprose baking bar is actually dark chocolate, not baking "chocolate" made from shortening and cocoa. I've made this with good quality dark chocolate from schmerling too, 72% or 85%.

What I do is make sure everything I use is very dry, as water will make melted chocolate grainy, chop the chocolate into bits by hand, heat coconut milk on very low flame until there are small bubbles all around, remove from heat, add chocolate, let sit for 5-10 minutes and then stir until smooth.

Hope this helps.

Delinut Banana Pockets.
You take puff pastry squares, Banana Slices and some Delinut (parve version of Nutella) fold over and bake till golden. Sprinkle with Powder sugar before serving. This needs to be served and eaten right away. The next day, the bananas get mushy.

Graham cracker crust fill with cookie dough or cookies top with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. Bake until marshmallows are browned.

Brownies or blondies.
Up to five minutes to mix with a hand mixer and dump in the pan. Bakes for 20 min.
Spread a handful or two of chocolate chips over as soon as it's removed from the oven. After a few minutes, drizzle with a little lit then spread like frosting. Top with chopped nuts, sprinkles, coconut, whatever.

Do you have the recipe please? sounds good

Easy lemon pie

Mix together

16 oz pareve whip
1 cup sugar
8 eggs
1/2 cup lemon juice
optional: lemon zest

stir all ingredients together (I use a stick blender - no need to whip the cream) Pour into 2 graham cracker crusts or pre - baked frozen pie crusts. Bake 30 minutes on 350 until just set. Freezes great and can be served semi frozen if desired.

Shave some chocolate on top if you want to be fancy or do as in this picture. (But that will exceed your 5 minute time limit.)

Made this for Shabbos/Yom Tov but with a slight twist. I used lime juice instead of lemon (and added a bit of food coloring to make it green-I was in a funny mood). I made half the recipe and put it in one crust and baked it. Whipped the other half of the whip, added a bit of lime juice and a bit of confectioners sugar and piped it onto the cooled pie. Then I stuck it in the freezer. Sublime!!

Thanks for the recipe!

Something Exotic
2 cans of lychee
Rose water
Almond slivers or pistachio -optional if you use

Open lychee cans into a container- drain 1 and save syrup of 1 can
Add a splash or 2 of water - careful it's very strong -add to taste
Chill
Serve in little cups and sprinkle with almonds or pistachio if you use.

Super easy and VERY fancy
I saw this dessert in Panama and Brazil- I think it's a Syrian thing.

Do you use Richs's Whip? Is any company fine?
Do you use fresh lemon juice or bottled is ok?

I use bottled. Any company whip is fine. I've used alpro soya cream (for european imamothers) and it works, but I think it is better with pareve whip. Add in some lemon zest if you have time, my sil swears it makes a huge difference and it doesn't take that long.

For a simcha I made these (the dairy version but there is really not such a difference in taste) in mini pie crusts. They went like hot cakes.

Thank you, I will make them in individuals. so much easier and prettier to serve! I will also by some little meringues to serve with it as a deconstructed lemon Meringue pie.

These are my go to blondies. They're amazing -- rave reviews and recipe requests ALWAYS -- and so easy!
I replace the butter with 3/4 the amount of oil (fill the 1/3 cup 3/4 of the way). Harder with butter and too greasy too.

...

Another quick recipe...from my childhood!!!
Dump cake!

Nuts are optional. We never melted the margarine, just sliced it thin and layered it on top.

I make lemon pie too but with slightly different ingredients.

1 whip
1 cup marshmallow fluff
15oz lemon pie filling

pour into graham cracker pie crust and freeze

(I wouldn't be surprised if both recipe's taste almost the same. It's really good)

Here's another quick and easy recipe if you like a fruit type of dessert.

1 raspberry jello
2 cups boiling water
1 can crushed pineapple
1 small can mandarin oranges
1 can sweet (pitted) cherries)
drop of sugar to taste

mix everything together including liquid from the cans ( I leave out the liquid from the oranges) You are not making jello from this so you can add all the cans while the jello/water is hot. It's like a compote and is very refreshing when cold.

Do you use a small 8 oz topping as liquid and not whipped up?
I think my girls would love making this themselves.
Do you serve it frozen or take it out half hour before to soften slightly?

I use a small whip but I do whip it up.
use mixer to add in fluff
gently add the pie filling (fork)

yes, served frozen - can take out of freezer a few minutes before

Unbaked apple pie

Thinly slice the peeled apples and mix them with the cinnamon and sugar mixture right before serving. I tried this after seeing everyone "sampling" my bowl of filling. It's really yummy.
You could probably add raisins or other fruits to it too.
