I've been so wrapped up in technicalities this past month that I kept on thinking I would start thinking about Elul "tomorrow" and suddenly it's four days to Rosh Hashana and I don't know what hit me
I did listen to a couple of old favorite shiurim on mp3 over the past month but somehow they didn't really sink in.
Any recommendations?
It's so hard for me to focus right now. First of all, there are still plenty of technicalities to stay busy with. B"H I've been steadily chopping away at my huge to-do list but I still have a LOT of things to tackle. Also, maybe I'm also in denial of not being where I would like to be on erev RH. And maybe it's just the yetzer hara doing double time. Whatever it is, I'm just really not focused and I would really like to be. I don't want to be stuck later this week just going through the apple-and-honey motions with the rest of me trailing behind.

I like listening to Yomim Noraim davening and niggunim and chazzanus on CDs. I think of what we will be davening for and it's music at the same time.
