Any ideas? After the holidays, I can't look at any more meat for a while but need something hearty and savory. It's getting cold outside!

Not dairy per se, but onion soup that you could put cheese in, soy chili-- with sour cream and shredded cheese toppings. I'm not sure something dairy-- milk or cheese could be in a crock pot for so long with going off or weird tasting.

I wouldn't cook dairy for so long but how about a parve hearty soup?

Yes, parve is great. I agree that dairy recipe with cream or cheese won't last too long in a crockpot. I should have specified in my original post that I didn't actually expect a true dairy recipe.
