What are my options? Its a Toyota thats about 10 years old. It has many working parts, but motor is failing and too expensive to repair.

Your best bet is probably using it as a trade-in if you're buying another car from a dealer.
Otherwise, advertise it as needing work. Someone might buy it to rebuild it.
If no, donate it for the tax deduction.

I used cash for cars when a ten year old Toyota of mine blew the head gasket. It had a leather interior, good body and was all electric and the electric was in good working order. I got $895 for it and it got picked up in about five days. I was handed a cashiers check as I signed over the title. This was 6 years ago.
